Now in our fourth month, this series continues to be driven by you — sharing the sounds the world needs to hear. Thanks once again to everyone who got involved; you’re helping us shape the scene.

High Regard

Hailing from just outside London, High Regard are a genre-blending alt-rock band pushing the boundaries between heavy and heartfelt. Drawing clear inspiration from acts like Bring Me The Horizon and Pvris, the band fuse shimmering production and catchy hooks with angst-fuelled guitar riffs and emotionally charged lyrics. Their sound balances raw vulnerability with a fierce, modern edge — music built as much for sweaty club basements as it is for widescreen festival stages.

Known for breakout tracks like ‘Dead To Me’, ‘Red Lights’ and ‘Mirror Glass’, High Regard have earned a reputation for crafting songs that hit hard. Each release showcases their ability to shift between soaring vocal melodies and crashing walls of sound, often exploring themes of self-reflection, loss and the pursuit of identity in a chaotic world.

The band are gearing up for their headline UK tour this November in celebration of their forthcoming EP ‘Warning Signs’, joined by Ómoia and a rotating cast of local supports including Hell Hotel, Orphix and Wrex. With ‘Warning Signs’ set to drop shortly after the tour, High Regard are poised to cement their status as one of the most exciting emerging voices in the UK alt scene — a band unafraid to be loud, vulnerable and entirely their own.

Loose Articles

Manchester’s Loose Articles specialise in hypnotic punk that fuses humour, feminist fire and radical politics. Their songs tell tales of messy nights out and modern resistance, tackling austerity Britain with tongue firmly in cheek and two feet planted on the dancefloor. The quartet channel a sound that’s both chaotic and compelling — punk that sneers, laughs and fights back.

Fast becoming one of the most talked-about bands in the UK underground, Loose Articles recently unveiled a new collaborative single, ‘Marseille Manchester (In The Area)’, with French rap artist Nadir. Released on 7” vinyl via ESTAK Productions and Alcopop! Records on 10th of October 2025, the track marks another bold, genre-bending step for the band.

With releases like their debut EP Chaos’ (2022) and follow-up single ‘Sinead Loves Bitcoin’ (2023), the group continue to build on their DIY ethos — leading Arts Council England’s Kick Like A Girl project, which empowers young women in music while also supporting grassroots venues. Following shows with Gang of Four, New Order and Thumpasaurus, and now boasting a refreshed lineup featuring drummer Rachel Williams and multi-instrumentalist Anna Reed, Loose Articles are firmly cementing their place as one of UK punk’s most vital and unpredictable bands.

Two Year Break

Two Year Break are an alternative rock band from London, known for their infectious energy and relatable lyrics. Blending elements of modern rock and pop-punk, the band have built a loyal following over the past few years through their high-octane live shows and hook-filled songwriting. Inspired by bands such as Mallory Knox, You Me At Six and Twin Atlantic, Two Year Break craft songs that are both emotionally charged and irresistibly catchy — the kind that linger long after the final chord.

Their music captures the highs and lows of young adulthood, exploring themes of resilience, self-doubt and hope, all wrapped in powerful guitar riffs and soaring vocal melodies. Whether it’s the driving beats or the singalong-worthy choruses, Two Year Break’s sound is unmistakably built for connection — a soundtrack for late-night drives and festival crowds alike. Standout tracks include ‘Lovin’ Every Day’, ‘Take It Down’, and their latest release, ‘CRASH BANDICOOT’, our personal favourite. With their signature mix of passion, energy and honesty, Two Year Break continue to carve out their place in the UK rock scene, proving that heartfelt alternative rock is still alive and kicking.

Heartsink

Heartsink are a four-piece pop-punk/emo band from York. With influences ranging from Four Year Strong, The Wonder Years, Real Friends and New Found Glory, the band delivers punchy choruses and breakdowns designed to ignite the pit. Recent live debuts like one of their newest songs ‘Domino’ hint at a bold new chapter in their evolving sound. It’s a catchyand energetic song that is impossible to ignore.

What sets Heartsink apart is their lyrical maturity. Tackling themes like heartbreak, depression, getting older and even fatherhood, they move beyond the expected teenage angst of many pop-punk peers, writing songs that resonate with both energy and emotional depth.

Heartsink are also passionate supporters of their local music scene, with Zac working at The Fulford Arms and the band championing the venues that keep York’s live music culture alive. Sharing stages with ROAM, Boston Manor, Elliot Minor and others, Heartsink thrive on the thrill of performing, but their core ambition remains simple: four friends playing music they love and enjoying every second of it on stage.

Offstage, their camaraderie shines through in their humour and shared passions — including an encyclopedic knowledge of football, joking that a podcast may one day be in the cards.

LEMONSUCKR

The Brighton-based four-piece first forged their sound inside an 8x20ft shipping container on a forgotten farm, transforming it into a studio and creative incubator. That isolation gave birth to a sonic identity: a brutal blend of industrial punk, dark pop and electronic dissonance. Since surfacing from their cocoon, LEMONSUCKR have built a reputation for high-voltage performances and a fiercely loyal fan community. Known for their open-handed generosity — from guest list invites and merch giveaways to immersive fan competitions — the band approach everything with an infectious DIY spirit.

Their debut EP, H.E.A.T., captures their signature style across five tracks including Dead Disco’, ‘H.E.A.T.’ and focus single ‘Sedated’. It’s a record that shifts between the surreal and the cinematic, tackling tales of club night carnage and criminal escapades with razor-sharp wit and distortion-drenched urgency.

Visually, LEMONSUCKR’s world is just as impressive — their self-directed videos mirror the music’s fever-dream energy, blending liminal spaces, chaos and a touch of the grotesque.

With UK support shows alongside Welly and Deep Sea Diver, and a slot at Mutations Festival, LEMONSUCKR are proving themselves not just as a band to watch, but as a movement ready to detonate.
