HANABIE. End Their UK Tour With a Sold-Out Night at Electric Brixton

HANABIE. took over London with heavy screams and killer riffs. Friday night marked the final stop of their UK tour before they head off to Europe, Paris up next, and it was a night I’ll never forget. The all-girl band tore through a sold-out Electric Brixton, giving fans an unforgettable performance and proving once again why they’re one of Japan’s most exciting metal acts right now.

Before HANABIE. unleashed their madness, Brighton’s own Lake Malice stormed the stage with a set that felt like a compact manifesto of who they are as a band. London wasn’t just another stop for the duo either. This was their final show of the year, a last victory lap before disappearing into studio and festival prep, and you could feel that sense of celebration from the first note. They opened with ‘Magic Square’, immediately pulling the crowd into their world with sharp riffs, pulsing electronics, and Alice Guala’s dynamic vocals.

Their set moved with purpose, the emotional weight of ‘Mitsuko’ balancing the snarl of ‘Nobody Wants To Be You’. A standout moment came when Alice paused to call out the creeps she’s had to face throughout her career, flipping them off without hesitation. Electric Brixton answered in unison, middle fingers raised as ‘Creepers’ tore into the room with fury. They closed with ‘Blossom’ and ‘Bloodbath’, bringing their final performance of the year to a spectacular high. Just before walking off stage, Alice proudly announced to the crowd that they’d see everyone at Download Festival, having been revealed just this week as part of the newly announced 2026 lineup. The room erupted, and it felt like a perfect, full-circle moment for a band clearly rising faster than ever.

When HANABIE. took over, the atmosphere shifted from adrenaline to pure sensory overload. Their entrance fused pounding techno, flipping the room from excitement into outright frenzy. They opened with ‘Warning!!’,the perfect introduction to their world of metalcore chaos, sugary hooks and dance-ready beats. ‘Bucchigiri Tokyo’ and ‘Spicy Queen’ sent the crowd into a joyful riot, while ‘Meta-moru-phose!’ and ‘Ware Amatou’ highlighted their playful, anime-bright personality. Midway through their set, HANABIE. and Lake Malice shared a celebratory end of tour round of shots on stage, a cheeky toast that had the audience cheering even louder.

Yukina was a whirlwind throughout, switching between sweet melodies and feral screams as she danced, jumped and engaged with the audience like she was genuinely having the time of her life. The encore was a single explosive performance of OTAKU Lovely Densetsu’ and it blasted through the venue in a final kaleidoscope of chaos.

By the end of the night, Electric Brixton wasn’t just buzzing, it felt transformed. Lake Malice celebrated the close of their year with a triumphant, emotional send-off, and HANABIE. delivered a final UK performance that felt like a technicolour hurricane. Together, they turned London’s final tour stop into a night fans will be talking about for a long time.
