One of Those Nights You Leave Smiling: Honey Revenge & Rain City Drive at Dynamo, Eindhoven

Friday night at Dynamo in Eindhoven felt like one of those shows where everything just clicked. With Honey Revenge and Rain City Drive co-headlining their EU/UK tour and Belmont joining as support, there was no overthinking and no forced hype — just three bands doing what they do best and a crowd that was fully in it from start to finish.

Belmont opened the night and immediately set the bar high. They came out strong with ‘Bowser’s Castle’, and from the first seconds it was clear this wouldn’t be a quiet warm-up set. Singer Taz Johnson didn’t stop moving for a second, jumping around the stage and pulling the crowd in with his energy. It felt natural, not forced. Songs like ‘Hollowed Out’, ‘Pushing Daisies’ and ‘731’ kept the momentum going, with the audience already singing along early in the night. The band closed with ‘Overstepping’, leaving the room sweaty, smiling and more than ready for what was coming next.

Then it was time for Honey Revenge, and honestly, the excitement in the venue said everything. Their 2023 album ‘Retrovision’ is one of those records where almost every song sticks in your head, and hearing those tracks live only made them hit harder. The band has had a huge year, playing Warped Tour and ending 2025 with a successful US tour opening up for Spiritbox, and that confidence showed on stage.

They began their set with ‘Risk’, followed by Seeing Negative (Disappointment), instantly locking in the crowd. One of the biggest moments of the night came during ‘Worst Apology’, when singer Devin Papadol jumped into the crowd. What followed was pure excitement in the best way possible. Everyone was jumping, shouting and sharing the moment together. There was no barrier between band and audience and it made such a big difference for a show like this. Their newest single ‘Poison Apple Baby’ got an amazing reaction as well, especially considering it’s only been out for a few months. Fan favourites like Murphy’s Law, Are You Impressed? and Airhead rounded out a set full of joy and connection. Devin and guitarist Donny Lloyd radiated positivity, and that feeling spread through the room fast. That’s one of the things that makes Honey Revenge so special, they don’t just play shows, they make people feel welcome and included.

Co-headliners Rain City Drive closed out the night. The future is looking incredibly bright for the Florida rock band. With major European festival slots already announced for this summer, including Download (UK) and Graspop (BE), the buzz around them is well deserved. Rain City Drive are one of those bands you just have to see live — their sound is massive, polished and powerful, and Matt McAndrew’s vocal range is nothing short of impressive. Their set kicked off strong with ‘Frozen’, followed by ‘Concrete Closure’. Fan favourite ‘Talk to a Friend’ had the crowd fully locked in, before they played their newest track ‘Ride or Die’, released in July 2025. The night ended on a high note with an encore performance of ‘Medicate Me’, sending the audience home buzzing and eager for more.

The Honey Revenge/Rain City Drive co-headline tour continues with the final EU date in Paris tonight, before heading into the UK with stops in Southampton, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Dublin and ending in Belfast. And if the Eindhoven show was any indication, this tour is one people will be talking about for a long time, so make sure not to miss it!
