Shooting Daggers x Roman Candle U.K. Tour – Live at New Cross Inn

Roman Candle’s first-ever U.K. tour brought them to the New Cros Inn together with the London-based hardcore band Shooting Daggers. Another killer show delivered by Real Life Presents.

Supporting the night were My Tiny Room and the emo/post-hardcore Mountain Peaks, both setting the tone perfectly before Nevada-based hardcore band Roman Candle took the stage.

From the first note, Roman Candle turned the room upside down. Their energy was raw and impossible to ignore. Singer Piper Ferrari was constantly engaging with the crowd, not only encouraging moshers to throw down but jumping from the stage herself to open up the pit. That kind of fearless energy is exactly what this scene thrives on. Their last album was back in 2022, but we’re hoping new songs are coming soon. Still, the setlist delivered big time, with tracks like ‘Gaslighting Isn’t Real (You’re Just Crazy)’, ‘Oh, Dreamer’ and ‘Survivor’s Guilt’ reminding everyone why they’re such a force in the scene right now.

Shooting Daggers closed out the night with a powerful, wholesome end to an already epic evening. As always, their presence was great, delivering a fierce dose of queercore and righteous rage. Their lyrics hit hard, speaking volumes to the crowd, while moshers gave it everything they had to tracks like ‘Dare’, ‘Tunnel Vision’, ‘Wipe Out’ and ‘Liar’.

It was a night that celebrated energy, identity and expression — exactly what live hardcore shows should be all about. If this tour is any sign of what’s to come, Roman Candle and their fellow acts are set to leave an even bigger mark on the U.K. scene.
