Electric Callboy: TANZNIED
With the highly anticipated release of their new album TANZNIED, arriving on 7 August via Century Media Records, Electric Callboy are once again prepared to take the electronicore scene by storm. Following the release of their gold-certified 2022 album TEKKNO and the staggering support they’ve received as they continue their climb to the top of the scene, TANZNIED is poised to deliver for fans across the world, especially with the album featuring so many giants from both the scene and beyond.
The release opens with the title track, 'TANZNIED', instantly stepping on the gas and giving fans exactly what they want from an Electric Callboy song – raw energy, adrenaline-fuelled intensity and heart-racing instrumentals that, as the band themselves put it, "pull you onto the floor". The track acts as the heart of the album, celebrating the feeling that music brings and the way it compels people to come together, lose themselves in the moment and truly feel alive.
Following the explosive opener is the fan-favourite 'RATATATA', featuring none other than BABYMETAL. As one of the first glimpses fans received of TANZNIED, the track more than lived up to expectations, becoming one of the defining songs of the summer of 2024 when it was first released.
Next comes ‘Hypercharged’, which Electric Callboy released in collaboration with the game Brawl Stars, a title the entire band are passionate about as seasoned gamers themselves. It’s undeniably a fun track that will appeal to fans whether they’re gamers or not.
Coming in hot is the incredible collaboration with Dexter Holland from The Offspring on ‘Let The Good Times Roll’, the ultimate feel-good anthem with the ability to get anyone up and dancing. The pairing is particularly interesting given the differences in the bands’ styles, with The Offspring primarily rooted in punk rock. However, the fusion of punk and metal throughout the track serves as another reminder of just how versatile Electric Callboy can be.
Next, we have one of two previously unheard songs on the album, 'Heartclub'. Despite its title, the track is one of the heavier offerings on the record, although lighter moments help emphasise its more heartfelt lyrics. At its core, the song is about letting go, putting yourself first and recognising your own worth.
The second brand-new track on TANZNIED is ‘The Saviour’, which leans even further into the band’s electronic influences. It opens with a catchy melody and an instantly gripping pre-chorus, while lyrically exploring themes of freedom, self-belief and standing up for yourself. It’s a track that’s almost guaranteed to become a fan favourite.
Overall, the momentum and sheer power that Electric Callboy possess as a band remain completely undiminished. They continue their rise towards becoming one of the biggest names in the scene, and TANZNIED is no exception. As their most focused and fearless album to date, it’s no surprise that fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
