LANDMVRKS Deliver a Next-Level Show in Tilburg
With only one date left on their 2025 European run, LANDMVRKS brought their headliner tour to Tilburg at a moment when the band feels unstoppable. Supported by Underoath, Pain of Truth and Split Chain, the night showcased not only a stacked lineup but a band operating at full force. What unfolded was a reminder of just how far LANDMVRKS have come, and how high they’ve set the bar for modern heavy shows.
The support acts added their own flair to the evening. Unfortunately, we missed Split Chain’s set due to a mix-up with our accreditation at the door, which was a shame, as they are definitely a band to watch and one we were especially looking forward to seeing.
Pain of Truth brought a clear New York hardcore signature to the night, instantly getting the crowd moving with constant two-step action. During the first three songs, singer Michael Smith spent time at the barrier, shouting lyrics alongside the fans before eventually tossing the mic fully into the pit and letting the crowd take over. Fan favourites like ‘Shattered Past’ and ‘Blood on Your Hands’ followed. For the final moments, the band flipped roles: the guitarist stepped in on vocals while the singer grabbed a guitar, adding an unexpected and memorable twist to close out their set.
Underoath played Tilburg for the first time, backed by a compact yet striking production. Frontman Spencer Chamberlain guided the set with confidence as the band allowed the show to unfold gradually. The band opened on a calm note with ‘Loss’, a track from their latest record ‘The Place After This One’, released in March. The mood quickly shifted as fan favourites like ‘It’s Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door’ and ‘A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White’ brought the crowd to life. With each song, the intensity grew stronger. The show built toward a crushing finale, marked by a massive wall of death and a light-hearted shoutout to the keyboard player, who was celebrating his birthday that night. Underoath closed the set with ‘Generation No Surrender’, striking a perfect balance between atmosphere and sheer heaviness.
French metalcore band LANDMVRKS hit the stage next, and it was immediately clear that this tour is on another level. Having seen them several times over the past few years, their growth was impossible to miss. From the first note, their sound was tight and powerful, their energy contagious, and Flo Salfati’s vocals absolutely unreal. The consistency and versatility he showed across the set were jaw-dropping, moving effortlessly between different styles without losing intensity. Once again, he proved why he stands out as one of the most exciting frontmen in modern metalcore. The production matched the band’s evolution perfectly. Pyrotechnics, bursts of confetti and a live graffiti session on stage during ‘Sombre 16’ turned the performance into a visually striking spectacle that elevated the entire show.
Expectedly, the setlist leaned heavily on their latest album, ‘The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been’, which dropped earlier this year. The record is widely regarded as one of 2025’s standout releases. Opening with the title track and immediately transitioning into ‘Creature’, Landmvrks kept the crowd engaged from start to finish. Fan favourites like ‘A Line in the Dust’ and ‘Sulfur’ also hit with the kind of energy that only a band in peak form can deliver. The audience responded in kind, with massive crowd surfing and non-stop movement throughout the show.
Overall, Tilburg was a testament to LANDMVRKS’ growth as a live band. From explosive stage presence to flawless vocals, cutting-edge production and undeniable connection with the crowd, they’ve set a high bar for the end of their European run. If Tilburg is any indication, their final show in Lyon tonight is not to be missed.
LANDMVRKS will also join Architects this January for a short two-week European tour, alongside PRESIDENT.
