Waterparks End the PROWLER Tour in LA with Guest Stars Landon Barker, Plain White T’s & YOU!

The Waterparks PROWLER Tour ended with an intimate, late-night–show–themed finale packed with vivid visuals, surprise twists and chaotic energy. Transforming The NOVO into a nonstop spectacle, the band stacked fan favourites and special guests for a night of crowdsurfing, moshing and relentless shenanigans. Their connection with fans was undeniable, with many camping overnight and lines reaching capacity by 11 a.m. for those determined to be front and center.

Awsten Knight, Geoff Wigington and Otto Wood have had a relentlessly busy year, balancing the PROWLER tour while actively working on a new album — teased for release sometime after January. With three new singles and a collaboration with Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer already out, it’s no surprise their upcoming EU/UK tour is quickly gaining momentum.

Opening the night was Landon Barker, bringing sad-boy energy with a polished yet intimate set of originals and covers. He kicked things off with ‘Run’ and MGMT’s ‘Kids’, sending phones into the air as the familiar anthem took on an alternative edge. Barker’s somber presence and direct fan engagement made the short set feel more personal than a typical opener. Rolling from Surf Curse’s ‘Freaks’ into upbeat tracks like ‘Pretty Faces’ and ‘Want You Back’, the crowd stayed locked in as balcony and pit sang along together. He closed with fan favourites ‘Friends With Your Ex’ and MGK’s ‘die in california’, ending with gratitude and promises of more music.

Veterans Plain White T’s delivered a wave of nostalgia, fittingly timed with the 10-year anniversary of ‘All That We Needed’. Opening with ‘Would You Even’ and ‘Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)’, Tom Higgenson immediately pulled the crowd into sing-alongs. He split the audience into teams backing guitarist Tim Lopez and bassist Mike Retondo, adding playful competition to an already energized room.

Higgenson’s crowd interaction stayed constant, with photo moments and heartfelt thanks throughout the set. Tracks like ‘1, 2, 3, 4’, ‘All That We Needed’ and a cover of Fall Out Boy’s ‘Dance, Dance’ had the entire venue waving hands and shouting lyrics. They closed with ‘Hey There Delilah’, turning the room into a sea of phone lights as the audience carried the final chorus.

Waterparks’ set opened with a late-night–show intro — ‘The Waterparks Show!’ — setting the tone immediately. They launched into ‘Blonde’, ‘SNEAKING OUT OF HEAVEN’ and ‘FUCK ABOUT IT’, with visuals perfectly matching the band’s wild energy. After ripping through major hits, narrated interludes and bold on-screen text guided the audience through shifting emotional themes.

Crowdsurfing was officially encouraged as the band broke into ‘Stupid for You’. Fans then voted between songs, choosing ‘Peach’ before the set flowed into ‘Dream Boy’ and personal favourite ‘Funeral Grey’. Bodies flew as security caught fans at every turn, the crowd fully embracing the infectious hooks and joyful chaos. The show slowed for a more intimate stretch. ‘High Definition’ featured a stage setup with a bench and streetlight, setting a reflective tone. Another vote saw ‘Not Warriors’ edge out ‘Gloom Boys’, followed by ‘Crybaby’ and ‘I Felt Younger When We Met’ to close the softer segment.

On the final night of the tour, the band took requests and played partial snippets from across their catalog, surprising fans with deep cuts from their 2021 album ‘Greatest Hits’. This culminated in full performances of ‘21 Questions’ and ‘I Miss Having Sex but at Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore’, the latter turning the pit into a full-on rowing session.

After a brief blackout, Awsten returned with a surprise guest and close friend — Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer — to perform their collaborative track ‘give me a break!’. A broken wired mic and some playful banter later, the duo ran it back, this time demanding more crowdsurfers, more energy and a massive circle pit with every stage effect firing at once.

A brief interlude hinted at a potential 2026 album release, with Awsten asking fans to give the band all of January to finish the new record and thanking them for their patience. The mood shifted sharply as red lights washed over the stage and the pit exploded.

‘IF LYRICS WERE CONFIDENTIAL’ ignited circle pits instantly, blending alt and rap influences as bodies collided. ‘RED GUITAR’, their newest single, had the crowd swaying in unison, while the unreleased ‘PROWLER’ pushed into aggressive, metalcore-adjacent territory, with Geoff and Otto showcasing their technical prowess. ‘ANY MINUTE NOW’ followed — an angsty reflection on ambition, struggle and growth — paired with projected tour footage from every city visited.

The night closed with a chaotic trifecta of older fan favourites: ‘TANTRUM’, ‘Turbulent’ and ‘REAL SUPER DARK’, the latter standing out as the ultimate release of pent-up energy. Mosh pits, crowdsurfers and circle pits never stopped, as everyone fully understood the assignment.

Waterparks isn’t just a concert — it’s a shared emotional experience built on care, connection and chaos. From the openers to the headliner, the band invites the audience into the performance, amplifying fan voices and celebrating the joy of being seen and heard. It’s reckless fun and artistic insanity that only Waterparks can deliver. With their EU/UK tour kicking off in March, this is one show you need to experience for yourself. Grab your Red Guitar, embrace the chaos, and get ready to be TURBULENT with Awsten and the gang.
